Use ClickTrade? Be Wary! (continued, part 2)
Several merchants have also complained that when faced with a problem in administering their program they have been unable to generate a response, let alone an answer, from ClickTrade. One highlighted how when they emailed ClickTrade about an affiliate that was actually cheating them, they received an automated email back from ClickTrade warning them about abuse as if they were the offending affiliate.
It seems that ClickTrade's largest problem lies in their continued lack of proper support for both their affiliates and advertisers. Many of the technologies that go into tracking affiliate programs are still new, and a certain number of hiccups are to be expected. But, in today's Internet, their is no excuse for poor support of customers and affiliates. After all, what is a site without it's customers and users? Not much in my book, and that is where ClickTrade will be heading if they are not able to improve their service and support.
For these reasons I have downgraded ClickTrade to a $ rating, the lowest on the standard scale of $ to $$$$. I will continue to monitor their program and the feedback I receive about them closely. We can only hope that the situation improves. If you have particular experiences with ClickTrade, positive or negative, please don't hesitate to let me know at: clicktrade@clickquick.com
As for my affiliate program with ClickTrade? When my funds run out I will also be allowing my program to expire. Unfortunate as it is, ClickTrade is not the solution I will be using in the future. For the time being, I will be looking elsewhere, as both an affiliate and an advertiser.
Note that the day after this article ran in the ClickQuick Files email newsletter, I received no less than 10 emails from other subscribers highlighting similar problems that they have experienced. In an effort to be fair, 2 emails were also received from affiliates that have had no difficulties to report with ClickTrade.
