ClickQuick, What do you Make?

I receive a variety of emails each month asking me which programs have earned me the most. Although I am happy to answer, I also hesitate since my site caters to webmasters, and does not match the audience of most other sites. Because of this, standard merchant affiliate programs do not work as well as they might on many other sites. For example, if I tried selling music CDs from the ClickQuick site, I would have a very low conversion rate, since most of you visit ClickQuick to learn about affiliate programs, rather than to make purchases through them.

So, naturally, the best performing programs for me are those that offer two-tier commissions. My top three would have to be Advertising.com, Onresponse.com, and Virtualis. I do however, make a decent amount directly promoting OnResponse from the ClickQuick site, by running ads for their free magazine trials. I can say that quite a few of their affiliates are making a lot more with this program then I am, which is a good thing!

I should also note that I was receiving a fairly good income referring new affiliates to Safe-Audit, however, this did not stop me from downgrading them a while back. After I received complaints from several affiliates that they had not been paid, or that their clicks were not being recorded properly, I promptly removed them from the Top Rated Programs section, and my income fell off to zero of course.

I can say that I do hear frequently from affiliates about which programs have treated them well (and which haven't). For example, Amazon is a consistent performer, although it is making few people 'rich' (most seem to be earning in the $20-$100 per month range). One & Only, PulseTV and Beyond.com have been well received from sites that cater to the interests they represent (personals/dating, special-interest videos and software), and pay-per-lead programs like OnResponse.com, WebSponsors, and TransAct! have all received good comments. As of late, Advertising.com has lead the way for pay-per-clicks, with ValueClick a distant second.

Now, if you visit the Top Rated Programs section at ClickQuick, you will note that the programs I just mentioned are basically the same ones that appear there. And there is good reason for that. I listen carefully to feedback on the programs I receive to not only determine their rating, but to also verify that they deserve special recognition above the sea of other programs.
