All ads they sell are placed on a run of network agreement, meaning that they are generally untargeted, general interest ads. They also state that they guarantee all ads you display will be income-generating.
Program Details:
As a network member, you are able to earn up to $0.30 per click, depending on how many clicks your site generates in a particular month. Most sites however will receive $0.10 or $0.15 per click-through. adclub counts clicks for unique visitors, per advertiser, per 24-hour period. Also note that to circumvent potential fraud, they have set a cap at 4% click-through, meaning that if your site generates a click-through rate higher than 4%, you will only receive credit for the first 4% of clicks. Although this may seem a bit harsh, it won't effect most sites that aren't cheating since the ads are untargeted, and 4% is easily double the industry-standard click-through rate. adclub also clearly points out that sites caught cheating will be terminated, and payment will be withheld. The typical types of sites are prohibited from joining, such as sites which contains illegal content or hate messages, nude images, or warez. They also go a step further, limiting membership from non-English sites or site's which promote alcohol, tobacco or other abusive substances. Additionally, as with most click-programs, the link code can not be altered. Sites must also generate at least 5,000 page views per month to join. Checks are issued each month, once $20 in commissions have been generated. I have received a few complaints about adclub's ability to properly track ad impressions and click-throughs in the past. Given that a member's commissions are highly dependent on adclub's ability to track these correctly, this greatly affects their rating.
